Prayer for Continuous Healing

03-13-07

Father, I am Your child. I come into Your presence now to accept the gifts of healing which You have already given. I rest in Your presence and forget for just a moment my problems and my pain. I quiet my mind so as to be more receptive to Your love.

I focus my attention on Your presence within me and forget myself for just an instant. It is in stillness that I hear Your voice of love and healing. Help me to be still and know that You are God. IN quiet and in confidence will my strength and health return.

Father, with the help of Jesus and His Spirit, I now make the dicision to let go of any bitterness, unforgiveness, or anger in my being. Even if I do not emotionally feel this way, I stand on my decision to choose love in place of fear, peace in place of conflict.

Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit, mind and body. Whatever hurt, guilt, or darkness I feel within myself, I place in the light of Your presence.

Gently remove forever whatever is harmful or destructive within my being. I enter more deeply into Your kingdom within me. I release any thoughts of sinfulness which would try to convince me that I am unworthy to be healed. I want to remove any block within me which would interfere with Your Spirit so that He can do His healing work within me.

Father I cannot heal myself nor be healed by anxious prayer. However, I proclaim I will be healed by Your gentle Spirit as I accept more and more Your power within me. I now use the authority which Jesus has given me to tell my mind and body to function in accord with Your will.

You are a God of peace and harmony. It is Your will that Your children be happy and whole. I now remind myself of this truth and know it will set me free.

Father, I ask for the vision to see myself as You see me: whole, forgiven, free from fear and guilt. I let Your love minister to me and let go of any defenses I have set up against Your love. I invite You into every part of my being and see Your light shining in me now. AMEN.

10 Days of Healing

12-5-06

Day 01
Holy Spirit, help me to begin this day with a greater awareness of Your presence within me. Help me to know that I am never alone and that You go with me wherever I go. Help me to realize that You can no more abandon me than You can any part of Your creation. Help me to know my oneness with God and all creation.

Help me to accept today as a gift from God, a chance to choose again. Help me to see that the past is gone, that it has faded away into nothingness, and that it need not have any power over me.

Amen.

Day 02
Holy Spirit, help me to undo the past by accepting this holy moment of release. It is your gift to me. I want to accept it and join myself with all creation in choosing God's plan for my redemption. Help me not to substitute my own plan, but allow you to teach me and lead me through the circumstances of this day. Help me to learn and teach the lessons of forgiveness with every person who comes my way today.

Amen.

Day 03
Holy Spirit, help me realize that only today is real and that now is the moment of my salvation. Help me to heal and be healed as I join with all who come my way today and acknowledge Your presence in both of us.

Help me to be attentive to your voice and to give you my little willingness to listen and obey. I give this day to you because you have given it to me. Help me to witness your love and peace as I leave behind all guilt and fear.

Amen.

Day 04
Holy Spirit, help me to be truly helpful. Help me to represent Him Who sent me. Help me not to worry about what to say or how to say it. Help me to trust that He Who sent me will direct and guide me. Help me to realize that my happiness this day lies only in doing Your will.

Amen.

Day 05
Holy Spirit, help me to see with loving eyes today!

Help me to hear with loving ears!

Help me to touch with loving hands!

Help me to speak with a loving voice!

Help me to be Your healing presence today!

Amen.

Day 06
Holy Spirit, help me to be be aware of who I truly am, a beloved child of God. Help me to never doubt my gifts, but use them for the benefit of all creation. Help me to share my gifts with each person who comes my way. Help me to look lovingly on this present moment, because it is only here that I can meet you. I thank You for the beauty in every person I meet this day. Every person who comes my way is Your gift to me. Help me to look on them and to see Your presence in them.

Amen.

Day 07
Holy Spirit, I invite you to lead my way today. You alone know the way. You are my Advocate, my Guide sent from God. You speak for my true self. Help me to hear only what You have to say. You are in charge of my salvation. Lead me, and help me to follow You.

Amen.

Day 08

Holy Spirit, help me to accept your judgment of every person I meet this day. You know all things about everybody, and You see them as not guilty. Help me to share this verdict, because it is the same with which I judge myself. You send every person I meet today. They are all my teachers. I accept the gift of each relationship. Help me to make relationship holy because this is Your will.

Day 09

Holy Spirit, help me to be a brother to all who come my way today. Help me to see equality and fellowship in all people I meet. Help me never use another person for my own advantage or attack the sanctity You have placed within him.

Day 10

Holy Spirit, help me to give you all my thoughts which would destroy my peace. I exchange all unholy feelings for Your holy interpretations. Only the truth will set me free. Teach me the truth about myself, God and others. I place my mind under your guidance and place my body at your service. Only You know what is beneficial for me. Help me to hear Your  voice and to experience Your healing.

Introduction: Praying to the Holy Spirit

In prayer we simply become more aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who prays for us and with us. It is His prayer which is all powerful. We believe that all prayer is already answered because the Answer, the Holy Spirit, has already been given. The answer to our prayer is always a person, not a thing. The more we grow in the awareness of His presence within us, the more we grow in prayer.

The least important part of prayer is what we pray to God. The most important part of prayer is what He says to us. In this sense, all authentic healing prayer is contemplative rather than active. For this reason, we have included both talking prayer and listening prayer in this section.

We hope that these prayers help you grow in the awareness of God's unconditional love. If the words we have written get in the way of the Holy Spirit, forget the words and listen to him.
